During 1999, I have been cataloging AAVSO news flashes which document observations made by cataclysmic variable observers reporting through the AAVSO.  From the 200 or so cataclysmic variables being actively observed, I chose the following handfull for my own observing program.

I chose these variables for a number of reasons, the most prominent of which was:

1) The stars were of magnitudes which could easily be observed using a CCD camera and C8 scope
2) They were easily observable from my location.
3) They were actively observed by others (I had a basis for comparison)
